What equipment is a plastic injection molding cleaning kit used on?
RYDLYME can be used on water operated equipment such as, but not limited to:
Cooling channels and passages – Inside the injection molding machine, there are cooling channels or passages through which water circulates to remove heat from the mold and the newly injected plastic part. Over time, the minerals in the water, like calcium, can deposit on the walls of these channels, forming scale. This can reduce the efficiency of cooling, leading to longer cycle times and potential defects in the molded parts.
Heat exchangers – Used to transfer heat from one medium to another, often used in the cooling systems of injection molding machines to manage the temperature of the cooling water. Scale buildup in these components can significantly reduce their efficiency, leading to overheating and potential damage to the system.
Water pumps – The pumps that circulate cooling water through the system can also be affected by scale buildup. This can reduce the flow rate of cooling water and increase wear on the pump, leading to more frequent maintenance or replacement needs.
Cooling towers – If the plastic injection molding facility uses cooling towers as part of its water cooling system, these are also prone to scale formation. The process of evaporation in the cooling tower can leave behind minerals that form scale on the tower’s components, reducing its cooling efficiency.
